3-Day Entry Experience
For solo artists, songwriters, producers and very small creative teams. Songwriting, pre-production, demos, limited recording or project development. An accessible entry point into RRD with professional creative standards.
- 02RRD Recording Experience
5-Day Signature Product
Five days. One project. A different creative environment. Arrival and orientation, concentrated studio days, selected Mérida experiences, overdubs and vocals, and a final listening moment. The shape of the week follows production reality.
- 03RRD Recording Residency
7-Day Deeper Immersion
For EPs, album development, multiple songs, larger ensembles and production-intensive projects. More time for tracking, overdubs, rest and creative change, with deeper destination immersion. Post-production may continue after departure according to the agreed scope.

Curated Collaboration
Songwriting, co-writing, demo creation and creative relationships. The objective is not to create another conference. The objective is songs and relationships.

What is Resort Recording Destinations®?
A coordinated music experience in Mérida, Yucatán, where professional recording and production are combined with lodging, transportation, hospitality and selected destination experiences, all organized around one musical objective.
Is RRD a recording studio or a travel package?
Neither on its own. RRD is a coordinated music experience. The music comes first, and the destination experience is designed around the project.
What types of music projects can I bring?
Songwriting, pre-production, demos, singles, EPs, album development and production-intensive projects, from solo artists to larger ensembles.
How long are RRD experiences?
The current frameworks are a 3-day Creative Escape, a 5-day Recording Experience and a 7-day Recording Residency. Retreats and private experiences are defined by the project.
Can I bring my own producer?
Yes, depending on the project and production requirements.
Can my partner travel with me?
Yes. A companion may share accommodation and selected destination activities without purchasing studio services that are not needed.
Do I have to follow a fixed itinerary?
No. The frameworks are not rigid itineraries. Production reality determines the final schedule, and the music controls it.
Does RRD provide accommodation?
Lodging is coordinated through RRD as part of the experience when included in the agreed scope.
Does RRD provide transportation?
Local and airport transportation can be arranged through RRD when included in the agreed scope.
Does RRD own the hotels or tourism services?
No. Lodging, transportation and tourism services provided by independent third parties are coordinated or arranged through RRD, not owned or operated by VHQ.
Does RRD own my music?
No. Purchasing an RRD experience does not transfer ownership of your songs or masters. RRD does not automatically acquire publishing, masters, ownership or management rights. Those are separate services and separate agreements.
When do I receive pricing?
After the consultation. Pricing is custom, based on your recording project and experience, and is presented in one professional proposal.
Is the inquiry a booking?
No. The inquiry begins a professional music conversation. A project is confirmed only after the proposal, the agreement and the required deposit.
